We Believe
- that the Bible,
authoritative and inerrant, is the inspired,
infallible, and eternal Word of God (Ps. 12:6,
19:7; Pro. 30:5-6; I Tim. 3:16-17; II Pet. 1:21;
Matt. 5:18; I Cor 2:13; John 1:1).
- that there is one God, eternally coexistent in
three persons: the Father, the Son, and the Holy
Spirit (Gen. 1:26-27; Matt. 28:19; I John 1:1; II
Cor. 13:14).
- in the Deity and Sonship of the Lord Jesus
Christ (Heb. 1; John 1:1; Ps. 2:7); His virgin
birth (Is. 7:14, Matt. 1:18-25; Luke 1:26-38); His
sinless life (Heb 4:15; II Cor 5:21; John 8:46);
The descent of the Holy Ghost upon Him (Matt.
3:16-17; Mark 1:10-11; Luke 3:21-22); His miracles
(Acts 2:22); His crucifixion and vicarious death
providing an atonement for sin through His shed
blood (Matt 27:35; John 19:34-37; Rom. 2:25,
5:6-11; Eph. 1:7-8; Heb. 9:12-28; Col. 1:20-22; I
Pet. 1:18-20; Rev. 1:5-6, 5:9-10); His bodily
resurrection and post-resurrection appearances
(Matt. 28; Mark 16; 1 Cor. 15; Rom. 1:4; Luke
24:36-43, Acts 1:1-3); His ascension to the right
hand of the Father (Ps. 110:1, Mark 16:19, Acts
1:4-11); and His future physical return to rule
the earth justly in power and glory (II Thess.
1:7-10; Luke 21:27; I Thess 4:15-18).
- that, while all have sinned and come short of
the glory of God (Rom. 3:23), God has graciously
and wonderfully provided the only way of salvation
from sin, death, and hell (John 14:6; Acts
4:10-12; I Pet. 1; John 3:1-21), regeneration and
sanctification of lost and sinful men by the Holy
Spirit (Tit. 3:4-7), and access to heaven (Heb.
4:14-16), all through faith in His Son Jesus
Christ, the incorruptible Word of God (Eph. 2:7-8;
Rom. 5:1-2).
- that there are two resurrections: those who are
saved unto the resurrection of eternal life, and
those who are lost and unregenerate unto the
resurrection of eternal damnation (John 5:28-29;
Dan. 12:2; Luke 14:14; Rev. 20:5-15).
- in the spiritual unity of true believers in our
Lord Jesus Christ (Gal. 3:26-29; Eph. 4:3-6,13; I
Cor. 12:12-27).
- in the baptism and indwelling of the Holy
Spirit, enabling Christians to live a godly and
victorious life that manifests the fruit of the
Spirit (Matt. 3:11; Luke 3:16; Acts 2, 19:1-8;
Rom. 8:13-14, 14:17; Gal. 5:16-25; Eph 5:9,18;
Joel 2:28-29; I John 3:22-24).
